We are pleased to inform you that the report “Recommendations on National Implementation: Health and Driving Aspects of the Fourth Driving Licence Directive”, prepared by the CIECA Fit to Drive Permanent Advisory Group, is now available on the CIECA website (page accessible to CIECA members only).
This report provides evidence-based recommendations to support national driver licensing authorities in implementing the health-related aspects of the Fourth Driving Licence Directive. It addresses key issues such as medical fitness to drive screening, management of medical conditions between licence renewals, the role of education and expert advice, and integrated approaches to road safety and mobility.
A dedicated webinar to present the report and its main findings will take place on 7 May 2026. Registration details and further information will be published soon in the CIECA calendar of events.
