Interested in Hosting the 2020 General Assembly and Congress?

11.02.2019. The CIECA Permanent Bureau is seeking proposals from Members that would like to host the 52nd General Assembly and Congress to be held next year before 15 June 2020.

If your organisation is interested in hosting the CIECA annual event, we would be grateful if you could contact Ms Augusta Sica from the CIECA Secretariat at augusta.sica@cieca.eu not later than 11 March 2019.

Proposals will be accepted from Effective members. Associated members may co-host this event, but there will be only one host State. We recognize that serving as a host for CIECA General Assembly and Congress is a major undertaking, but it is also an opportunity to showcase your organisation and country.

The potential congress site should have ability to host up to 180 people, sufficient meeting space for general sessions for all attendees, breakout rooms for concurrent sessions, banquet facilities for the entire group and exhibit space for approximately 5 exhibitor stands. The site should be located within two hours of a major airport.

To assist you in understanding the work that is involved and the expenses that you may incur, we encourage you to contact Ms Augusta Sica from the CIECA Secretariat who will be happy to provide you with the CIECA General Assembly & Congress Operating Requirements and who can also facilitate the contact with Host Organisations of past CIECA Congresses.

You will be notified of the outcome of Permanent Bureau’s decision, anticipated to be made in March 2019.
