42nd CIECA Congress, Budapest, 4 June 2010

Announcement
42nd International CIECA Congress
Assessment for Novice Driver Safety
Hosted by the National Transport Authority, CIECA -the International Commission for Driver Testing Authorities-, will this year hold its 42nd annual Congress on Assessment for Novice Driver Safety in Budapest, Hungary on Friday 4 June 2010.
CIECA, founded in 1956, promotes professional exchanges between driver testing authorities. The association currently has 50 members in 39 countries, mostly driver testing authorities, with a number of associate and honorary members and is proud to be a worldwide platform organisation for driver testing.
This year’s Congress will focus on improving safety by reducing novice driver risk through assessment. Widely known research shows that new drivers are significantly more at risk for getting involved in crashes, many of which prove fatal. Novice drivers are defined as new drivers of all age but many of them are young. The Congress therefore aims at illustrating the different aspects of assessment with regards to novice driver risk and has attracted presentations from practitioners and academics.
CIECA looks forward to seeing you in Budapest in June at our Congress. Please feel free to download the congress programme and share it with colleagues.
